Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Definitely not your usual fitness book!
I enjoy this book very much. Mr. Stallone gives the reader a good look into his life that most people are unaware of, he's an interesting guy. He talks about what was going through his mind as he prepared physically for each of his Rocky & Rambo movies, and also a few of his other movies.
The book was written before these last two Rocky & Rambo movies, so there's no behind the scenes stuff on those...I have a feeling that all the reminiscing done for this book may be what lit the fire to do these two latest movies.

The final two thirds of the book walk you through his simple & informative fitness formula that anyone can use in their routine...from a fitness novice, to a "set in their ways" diehard fitness expert.
It's easy to read, informative & often humorous, cuts through the BS & gets to the facts. I would recommend this book for anybody.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Better than I thought.
The book is great! It gives some great but short insight into his personal life aswell as his films.I think he definitely needs to write a full biography. The workouts are great!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Age is just a number!!!
This book is typical of the life Sly Stallone...he lives the attitude of never say die, everyone is an individual, you alone are responsible for your life. His philosophy in a nutshell is don't try to fit in, try to stand out. Don't compare yourself with anyone. Don't listen to anyone else's idea on what you should be and do. Go for it!! There is no restrictions, rules and limitations...if your heart is in the right place and you remain focused you can accomplish anything you desire. Very inspiring and motivational!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sly moves are the right moves!
I love this book! I have purchased 2 copies since it came out. One for my sister, and one for myself. Now I just need an autograph! My favorite part is the workouts tailored for the men and women. I can't think of anyone better to take advice from about working out than Sylvester Stallone. In a world where celebrities demean women, I do love how Sylvester Stallone has respect for women and what their bodies go through physically to bear children. He knows that among all of womens responsibilites it's hard to find time to work out. He takes a proactive approach and gives men and women a 3 hour a week workout. Something that is actually achievable. Great book! Thank you!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Motivation to Exercise and Eat Right from Sly Stallone!
Most likely, you are not going to buy and read this book unless you are a fan of Sylvester Stallone. With that said, being a fan, you won't be disappointed.

I have enjoyed Stallone's movies for years, and I was especially happy to see a 60 year old Rocky back in the ring, and I'm eagerly awaiting the new Rambo movie where we get to see another hero kicking butt in his sixth decade.

Like the heroes he plays on the silver screen, Stallone has kept himself in shape throughout the years. My favorite parts of this book are the stories about Sly. It is motivating to read about Rocky, Rambo, and the other heroes Stallone brought to life, as well as the training Sly did to prepare for those roles.

The portion of the book that describes exercises is nothing you can't find in many exercise books, since the exercises are pretty common. What is motivating is seeing pictures of Stallone doing the exercises and still looking in shape. Maybe not the ripped Stallone we saw in Rocky 3 and 4, but in great shape nonetheless. The little notes with each exercise add a different twist since they are personal to Sly, such as him telling us that Carl Weathers, aka Apollo Creed, taught him the hammer curl.

Stallone's gives brief comments on some of the popular diets of date, and then provides a reasonable eating program. He throws in a couple recipes to boot. The book then ends with some motivating advice.

If you are a fan of Stallone, are looking for a good motivational book to get you exercising and eating right, this book will do the trick.
