Editorial Review:
Product Description: Wirelessly tap into streaming entertainment like CinemaNow, direct to your TV from the Internet. All that, and you still get unmatched picture quality from your Blu-ray discs. This is no ordinary Blu-ray player. It's something better.

The LG Website says they've now discontinued this unit, and I wish I'd paid more attention to the customer service warnings before I bought it.
It played blue-ray beautifully, and had a lot of other great features, BUT-- Standard Def DVDs of recent vintage (i.e. with newer copy protection) never played right. The player added artifact lines scrolling up the screen. Two returns to LG, two complete replacements of the components-- and still not working. Now trying to get my money back ... Read More

This player is easy to use, fast and looks good as well. I set this up in minutes and have been very happy with it ever since. Netflix streaming is the reason why I got it and it works like a charm, no hassles whatsoever! YouTube works just as well, everything is fast, stable and reliable. I like a very complex remote and this one is on the simple side, but works really well. I would recommend this player to anyone who is looking for a WIFI system.

After reading many reviews here and on CNet I bought this player. Setup was painless and I found the onscreen menus very easy to use.
Besides the ability to play Blu-ray disks I wanted this player for its wireless Internet connectivity because there's no way I can get an Ethernet cable from my router to my family room. Although a bit confusing I was able to get things set up. I was able to see YouTube videos and I ran their utility software on my PC to grant access to my picture albums. But, ... Read More

Got this unit for Christmas. Didn't care about the Blu-ray functionality, because DVD is a dead technology. Was interested in the networking, and specifically in the Wi-Fi. Within 40 days of getting it, the wi-fi wouldn't connect. I spent an hour on the phone with LG tech support, and finally had to reset the unit to get it running. Two weeks later, and it's done the same thing. Except now a reset won't do it. Called tech support again, and they want my player shipped back to them so that they can ... Read More

Works like a charm "out of the box". Don't know why some have complained about the lack of an eject button there is one on mine (top right of machine), .This is a good heavy streamlined machine. Yes, a bit pricey but I think it is well worth the investment. Have also noted complaints about the location of the power on/off button (top left of machine). If it is too much trouble to reach over to it merely use the furnished remote controller. Same goes for the disk eject/open button, use the remote if you can't ... Read More
