Awesome remote for the money. And it came fairly quickly too. I use this remote with VLC media player on my computer and it works great. Just play an avi movie, left click to "interface", then choose "preferences" and go down to hotkeys. You can program the buttons with the hotkeys from VLC media player so it works just like a TV or DVD remote. This is great to have when you're a bit further away from the range of your mouse. I bought this and a more expensive MediaGate MCE remote. I couldn't get a working driver for the MediaGate on my XP Pro SP 3 machine. I found a few drivers and instructions, but no go.
So I plugged in the IR receiver for this. Windows recognized it as a HID and installed a driver automatically. It was working in less than a minute. I purchased this item after reading some reviews that indicated it would be a good and inexpensive way to add IR wireless control to my HTPC (home theater pc) using my Logitech Harmony ONE remote.
I received the item yesterday and set it up.
It's true that you can set this up in your Harmony software as a Chinavision CVSB-983.
The button mapping is a little tricky, and there are a few odd quirks for me:

It's a good product. Does what was said about it in the descriptions. Works very well with Media Center. Feel flimsy but I've had it for a couple months now and has worked admirably.

Like a few other reviewers, I bought this remote for the USB IR dongle that connects to the PC in order to use it with my Harmony 880. That works great. The actual remote though is pretty bad so if you were thinking of using it I would not recommend it. I have the IR dongle connected to my HTPC and within the harmony software I was able to configure 98% of the functionality I want, certainly enough to make it worthwhile.
