I am not your typical Linkin Park fan.
I am decades older than anyone in the band but I know good music when I hear it.
This is Linkin Park's best album to date. When I heard who produced Minutes to Midnight, it made sense. R.Rubin does have that "Midas" touch and this album just proves that point further. Darn good call on Linkin Park to bring him in.
Yes, it does sound different than all their previous albums. And that's a good thing. Chester and Mike both have ... Read More

Yes... Minutes To Midnight definently has a different sound. Most of the songs have more of a rock feel to them then Hybrid Theory and Meteora's Nu-metal sound. There isn't as much screaming and rap, although there are a few songs such as "Given Up" and "Bleed it out" which are a lot like Linkin Parks old style. Personally, I think Linkin Park did an amazing job with thier new sound, with the exception of the cussing, even if it is edited on this version of the album.(hope they don't continue with that:() ... I really don't like how much bands change by just one album, I think that's really stupid. But there is a lot of sad songs here. Good songs to sing along to. It's a pretty good album, but I do not recommended anyone wasting their money on it.

Fans, just get over it. Linkin Park has evolved. Understand that bands change and evolve. No, I don't own Meteora or Hybrid Theory. You are only bitter knowing what's to be missed. Linkin Park has come back; with something new to offer.
It has become more mature. Songs such as Leave Out All the Rest and The Little Things Give You Away prove it. So they're not as hardcore-metal anymore. Adjust to their change. I doubt they'll go back to their original sound because now starts a revolution in their ... Read More

They sell a version with the cuss words cropped out. It's a very different take on the band, but keeping that in mind, pretty well done. I was just disappointed; to my knowledge no previous CD they have put out had cuss words in it. Can Linkin Park no longer portray their musical art and emotion without resorting to cussing? Still, it's solid rock and roll.
