I decided to order this item after the original box that my Christmas tree came in began to fall apart. I looked up several of the other storage products here on Amazon.com and this one received better reviews and had the Rubbermaid brand name to back it up. My tree was fairly expensive, so I wanted to find something that would hold up and protect the tree. It works. However by the picture you would think that it has a box like frame that keeps its shape.
Actually it does not. It has no frame and after placing the items within it takes the shape more like a Duffel Bag.
The material is rather flimsy, I expected a thicker plastic. But at the price it is a good value. You have to be very careful with the metal parts of the tree, which can easily puncture the plastic. But if placed carefully inside the bag, it serves its purpose.

I was unable to fit my whole 7.5' tree in one of these. Since I had bought two of them, I split the tree between the two bags. I really wouldn't recommend these bags. Having to use two of them and their now odd shape with the tree in them, they take up more space than did the huge box the tree came in. Sadly, I threw away my box before I had truly tested the bags (my bad!). Also, one of the handles has about pulled loose - and that is with it being carried on its first trip to storage. I bought two because our tree is a large one. 7' tall and nice and full, and the lights are on it too. We put the top half in one bag and the bottom half in the other bag. They are quite sturdy but it is a "bag" so it could tear. They are out in the storage shed so hopefully everything will work out fine. I'll let you know after Thanksgiving when we bring everything back in the house to put it up again!
