So Far So Good offers up 13 of his previous hits plus a new song, "Please Forgive Me," a gooey, Michael Bolton-like ballad. The album starts out with "Summer of '69," the appealing autobiographical song about the 10-year-old Adams learning to play his first guitar in Ontario, and includes "(Everything I Do) I Do for You," the synth-laced ballad that wound up in the Guinness Book of World Records after topping the British singles charts for 16 weeks. With its over-the-top, gravelly vocals, So Far So Good reminds one of Rod Stewart's 1980s work when he was coasting on past achievements. It's too bad we don't have guys like Brian Adams pumping out the hits anymore. I, myself played professionally for 26 years touring as lead guitarest with the beach Boys among others so, a CD must be top notch for me to order it. I have a large touring motorcycle now with a great sound system and Brian Adams is a "must have" for the saved music on my Ipod. Every song on this CD is a hit in itself. These are his best songs - no clunkers , in my opinion . Saw him a couple of times in the '80's and he is an under - rated rock act. Great live and recorded .

I have been buying from amazon for 5 years. And I never received a CD that was so poorly packed. This seller must be 8 years old. And the CD case was broken and probably bought at The Dollat Tree. I will not ever buy from this seller again.

As just a casual fan of this balladeer this release suits me perfectly. Not only does it include the mega hits like Summer of '69 which has been played ad nauseum since it's release but also the plethora of more mid level hits - and it's these that really make this album.
Of course with a greatest hits package you will always get some anorak who complains that such and such a track from an obscure ep from 1983 really should of been here. But fans such as that already own all the albums ... Read More

I like this CD very much and have it downloaded at work where I listen to several times in a row. The songs are the cream of the crop as far as I am concerned.
