First off the book it self is very high quality. I usually dont notice this with books, but it really stood out. Nice glossy pages, great pictures and a easy to read fonts, kudos to the book producer, very classy. Now onto the book itself David Meyer not only gives you great strategies, but a fantastic mindset on how to approach competition. I think my best take aways from the book is that champions are not afraid to lose, and that if your not competing then you are denying yourself the opportunity ... Read More

The book gives solid tips and strategy's to up your game, but the entire photo section seems pointless. They describe a move anyone with a white belt would know, and then show 4 or 5 pages of photo's showing the technique and similar ones. It's somewhat repetitive and seems more like a space filler. The information on training, attitude, mindset, is all great, however; and the real reason to get this book. If you plan on competing in BJJ I would recommend this book.

David Meyer is the real deal. A great competitor, gifted teacher and a man who will bring you to the next level in BJJ. This book offers many insights that you won't get on the mat. A must read for BJJ students!

This book is very good on training fundamentals, how to be successful in competition, and some hints to get better overall.
